Scope of Work & What's Included

Our approach to commercial fencing in Gridley and surrounding counties covers every detail from initial property measurement and underground utility clearance through laser alignment and site cleanup:

Security perimeter assessment, lot boundary verification, and Kansas 811 utility locates
Hydraulic augering 36 to 42 inch deep post holes below the Coffey County frost line
Setting industrial Schedule 40 steel pipe posts in high-strength bell-bottom concrete
Installing commercial 9-gauge chain link mesh with 7-gauge bottom tension wire
Fitting 3-strand barbed wire extension arms for high-security commercial perimeters
Fabricating heavy cantilever slide gates, automated gate operators, and safety loop detectors

Kansas Ground & Weather Considerations

Commercial properties, equipment yards, and utility substations across Coffey County face severe security risks, from unauthorized trespass to material theft. Lightweight residential fencing quickly fails under industrial use, bending when struck by work trucks or sagging under heavy winds. Inadequate perimeter gates also cause costly logistics delays. We solve these commercial vulnerabilities with reinforced Schedule 40 pipe posts, heavy 9-gauge mesh, and reliable automated gate hardware.

Cost Factors & Pricing

Commercial fence costs in Gridley, Burlington, and Emporia depend on fence height (6-ft vs. 8-ft with barbed wire), pipe schedule (Schedule 40 vs. lighter tubing), and linear footage. Large cantilever gates, automatic commercial openers, and rocky limestone excavation also affect overall project pricing. We provide clear, itemized quotes.

Permits & Utility Locates

Commercial fencing complies with Coffey County commercial zoning and municipal codes in Burlington, Gridley, and Emporia. Industrial security fencing permits 8-foot heights with top barbed wire in designated commercial zones. Kansas 811 utility locates are verified before excavation. Kraft Fencing carries comprehensive commercial general liability insurance.

Kansas Communities Served for Commercial Fencing

Our Gridley-based crews provide on-site consultations, underground Kansas 811 utility mark coordination, and complete commercial fencing across East-Central Kansas:

Coffey County, KS: Our home county: John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake (Wolf Creek's cooling lake) and Neosho River bottoms mean many fence lines sit on wet, flood-prone ground.
Burlington, KS: Coffey County seat on the Neosho River just below John Redmond Dam; older homes on low ground near the river need posts set for wet soils.
Yates Center, KS: Woodson County seat with a historic courthouse square; aging homes in town and surrounding cattle pasture mean wood privacy repairs inside town and barbed-wire rebuilds outside.
Lebo, KS: Lebo, just off I-35 in northern Coffey County near Melvern Lake, has commuter homes plus farmsteads where split-rail and chain-link line the highway frontage.
Madison, KS: Madison, at the Greenwood County line west of Gridley, is gateway Flint Hills ranch country where pipe fence, barbed wire and corral work dominate.
Olpe, KS: Olpe, south of Emporia on K-99, is surrounded by row-crop and cattle ground; farmstead pens and livestock lots drive woven-wire and pipe fence work.
LeRoy, KS: LeRoy sits in a Neosho River bend southeast of Gridley; small-town lots back onto cropland, so chain-link and woven-wire pet and garden fences are common.
New Strawn, KS: New Strawn was built after the old Strawn townsite was flooded for John Redmond Reservoir; its newer homes sit near Coffey County Lake and Wolf Creek.
Hartford, KS: Hartford borders the Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge at John Redmond's upper end; refuge-edge farms need deer-resistant garden fence and flood-ready posts.
Neosho Rapids, KS: Neosho Rapids sits on the Neosho River between Emporia and Hartford; river-bottom farms see flood debris load fences, so H-braces and steel posts hold up best.

“Brandon with Kraft Fencing went above and beyond to repair my fence that had been broken due to poor design by another company. He answered my call and gave me a quote within a day and was out here two days later. Brandon worked very hard in the hottest part of the day to make sure everything was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a fence built or repaired. Thank you Kraft Fencing.”

“Casey and Roman Kraft did a cedar fence rebuild for my wife and I in December of '25. Our original fence was over 20 years old and in bad need of replacement. Casey came to my house on a Sunday to measure the property and discuss our plans. He got us the bid that evening. His price was extremely competitive and his reviews online were stellar. The days Kraft Fencing committed to build were the 2 rainiest days in December. There were flash flood warnings posted on both of those days and still, Casey and Roman showed up and went to work. I felt bad but they had top notch rain gear and smiles on their faces. They and their crew showed up at 7:30am both days and just got after the job. The craftsmanship is very impressive. They use screws instead of nails, the posts are beefier than the standard 4x4 post, and they use clear cedar in all the wood work except for the posts. The most impressive thing we experiened with Casey and his company was how he and his crew responded to a mistake that was made. He listened to our concern, gave us a few options to rectify the mistake, made sure both my wife and I would be happy with the work around, and then went about his business and made it right (without any additional charge). What a fantastic business he runs and what an ethical guy he is. I give him a 10/10 recommendation if you are looking to get a new fence installed. Brendan H. Great price”

“Kraft fencing did a great job installing our aluminum fence. It was a big job and a difficult yard to fence, as there were multiple changes in elevation. However, the fence looks great, and it was completed quickly. 10/10 recommend”

Response from Brandon Kraft (Owner):

“Thanks so much, Christopher! I’m so glad that you are pleased with your fence!”
